Limited release: eBay production connections support catalog and inventory operations plus read-only orders. Fulfillment, tracking changes, refunds, cancellations and order alerts are not available. Listings cover Sell Inventory items and offers, not legacy Seller Hub listings; no automatic migration is performed. Listing-write acceptance passed in the sandbox. Production reads passed on an empty account; populated order mapping and production writes are not claimed as live-verified.

Store MCP reads Sell Inventory items and offers. Missing legacy listings do not mean authorization failed; do not create duplicates to fill the gap. Understand eBay listing coverage. eBay orders are read-only.

Inventory-model listings
Store MCP covers eBay Sell Inventory items and offers, not every legacy listing. Draft creation, supported field and price updates, images, publish and withdrawal use that inventory model.
Stock and seller requirements
Check and set SKU-pool quantities; direct quantity-delta adjustments are not exposed. Publishing requires suitable business policies, an inventory location and category-specific item details.
Read-only orders
Read orders and existing shipment information. eBay reads do not expose the same payment and status filters as Shopify. Order changes and order notifications are not available for eBay in Store MCP.

- Sign in to Store MCP and choose eBay under Stores. Leave write permissions off for a read-only connection.
- Complete eBay’s sign-in and access review in the browser.
- Connect your AI with a store-scoped, View only permission first.
- Check a known inventory-model listing. Before publishing, ask your AI to inspect policies, location and category requirements.

View only to start
Authorize each AI client for selected stores. Enable supported listing and stock changes deliberately; ordinary writes do not each require separate browser approval.
Approval for sensitive actions
Supported refunds, cancellations and store disconnection require owner approval in the browser. No publicly open connector currently offers order refunds or cancellations.
Provider credentials stay out of chat
Saved provider tokens are encrypted with AES-GCM and are not handed to AI clients. Authorize on the provider’s website, never by pasting credentials into a prompt.
No synced orders or customer database
Store MCP does not maintain a synced orders or customer database. Buyer details need separate sensitive permission, an explicit request and provider access.
Review recorded tool activity
Activity shows Store MCP actions and the acting client within your plan’s retention period. Review the outcome before retrying a change whose result is unknown.

Questions before you connect?
Will all my existing eBay listings appear?
Not necessarily. The connector uses Sell Inventory items and offers; legacy listings outside that model are excluded. A missing listing is not evidence that it was deleted.
Can I receive eBay new-order alerts?
Not currently through Store MCP. Shopify and Etsy have supported order-event integrations; eBay does not have equivalent coverage in this release. Ask for an order check when needed; Store MCP does not add an automatic polling schedule.
Can my AI fulfill, cancel or refund eBay orders?
No. Fulfillment creation, tracking changes, refunds and cancellations are disabled for eBay in this limited release. Complete them directly in eBay. A paid plan or Full access does not enable these actions.
